Typically consisting of a blend of different cosmetic dental treatments and other dental solutions, the goal of a Smile Makeover is to dramatically improve the appearance of your teeth.
Following an initial smile assessment, we'll create a bespoke treatment plan that's tailored to your unique needs. This might involve some of the following treatment solutions:
Teeth straightening (orthodontics)
Cosmetic dental veneers
Composite bonding & white fillings
Teeth whitening
Dental crowns & bridges
Dental implant
A veneer is a custom made porcelain facing on the front of your teeth. It acts just like a false finger nail, and they are used mainly for aesthetic reasons.
Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy, and because they are very thin and are held in place by a strong bonding agent, very little preparation of the tooth is needed.
Veneers can be used individually or as part of a whole smile makeover. They are often used to;
Straighten teeth
Close small gaps
Repair & restore worn or broken teeth
Mask stains and discolouration
Brighten teeth beyond whitening
Our tooth whitening treatment is non-surgical and pain free. It will leave you with beautiful teeth that are many shades whiter! With superb results, our tooth whitening system will address a wide variety of needs.
We will examine your teeth and gums to make sure your teeth are ready and take moulds for your bespoke whitening trays. Your unique mould is sent to our laboratory where our technicians will precision manufacture whitening trays to fit your mouth. Once you have your trays, you can start using them at home with the Boutique whitening gels. In two to three weeks, you can unveil your beautiful new smile.
Composite bonding is the use of composite material that is then bonded to reshape, rebuild, or fill damaged teeth. It is a very simple cosmetic procedure, but it also has a huge amount of potential for different kinds of repairs.
The treatment itself is very simple, and it can normally be done in just one simple appointment with your dentist. It requires your dentist to first match the colour of the composite resin with the rest of your teeth. This will ensure that the smile will be consistent and look as natural as possible. The resin will then be placed onto the area required and moulded into the correct shape. The finishing touches will consist of curing the composite resin and refining the tooth further.
Dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth, by replacing the gap with an artificial tooth which is attached to the natural tooth or teeth next to the gap.
Replacing missing teeth will improve the appearance of your smile and if they are not replaced, greater strain is put on the teeth at either side of the gap.
A gap can also mean your “bite” is affected, because the teeth next to the space can lean into the gap and alter the way the upper and lower teeth bite together. This can then lead to food getting packed into the gap, which causes both decay and gum disease.
A dental crown is a tooth shaped cap that is placed onto your existing tooth. Crowns are used to restore damaged, weakened or heavily restored teeth.
The all-ceramic E-max crown has many advantages over traditional crowns. Besides its high aesthetic qualities, the function and longevity of the crown is excellent as well.
E-max is a system of crown fabrication which allows a crown to be made without the metal under structure. Traditionally, crowns are made by bonding the porcelain to a metal support, the drawback is that unlike a natural tooth which exhibits a certain degree of translucency, the metal framework under the porcelain blocks out the light.
