Did you know that one in four of us in the UK are unhappy with our smile? With advances in modern dentistry, its no longer just a case of filling and taking out teeth. Cosmetic dentistry, or ‘aesthetic dentistry', is used as a means of improving the appearance of teeth. Used to straighten, reshape, lighten and repair teeth, cosmetic dentistry should always aim to produce natural-looking results for patients. Our wide range of effective cosmetic treatments can help you with your discoloured, worn, chipped or crooked teeth.

A perfect smile could help land you that new job, or make the right impression when it counts. After all, one of the first things people notice about you is your smile. That's why we understand how important it is to smile with confidence.

Inlays & Onlays?

Inlays and onlays are two types of restorations that your dentist can suggest if you have a cavity in your tooth that needs to be filled. An inlay is a small filling that fits into the biting surface of a tooth while an onlay covers a larger area of the tooth and is better suited to bigger cavities.

For many years, gold has been used to make inlays and onlays because it is a hard material and lasts for a long time. Nowadays,tooth-coloured porcelain is also used and gives the restored tooth a more natural look, which many patients prefer.

Inlays and onlays can be made in a dental laboratory by atechnician, with the help of impressions taken of your teeth. While these are being made, you will wear a temporary filling. When your inlay or onlay is ready your dentist will glue it into place using a special adhesive, after removing the temporary filling.

Thanks to advances in digital technology (called CAD/CAM)porcelain inlays can be made at the dental practice using a special millingmachine known as CEREC. This means you will need less visits to the dentist tohave your tooth restored.

Teeth whitening is the safest and most cost effective way of enhancing theappearance of your teeth. Teeth discolouration responds extremely well towhitening treatment, removing stains on teeth caused from fizzy drinks, coffee, smoking, wine and other food. The non-surgical dental treatment is pain freeand will leave you with beautiful teeth that are many shades whiter!

Composite Bonding

Cosmetic bonding involves non-invasive use of tooth-coloured filling material to lengthen or re-shape the front teeth. The treatment is a relatively simple method of disguising small defects such as chipped or crooked teeth, or gaps between teeth. Your teeth are prepared with an etching solution and then applied with special composite resin materials. We shape the resin to give a natural appearance and bond it into place.
